The PHL Career Portal is for all Philadelphia job seekers! Think of the portal as a free, one-stop shop for digital training and resources on career exploration and skill development. Content is accessible through computers, smartphones, and tablets. Users can access PHL Career Portal from anywhere or at any time.
The Philadelphia Skills Forward Initiative is a collaborative effort to prepare Philadelphians with fundamental skills in three high-demand occupations: IT Customer Support, Health Administration, and Entrepreneurship. To learn more about the Skills Forward Program visit the Skills Forward FAQ page. While you are there you can sign up for the Entrepreneurship course by using the access code SKILLSFORWARD1.
No, you do NOT need to be involved with a workforce program to access free learning online with the PHL Career Portal. We encourage all users to sign up with PA CareerLink Online in just a few quick steps to access even more content! To get set-up with PA CareerLink online check out this information video below.

Check your email inbox first if you do not see it in your inbox check your [junk] folder or [spam] folder for the registration email. If you did not enter the correct email address you will not get the registration email. If you do not see the registration email at all referencing the folders above please contact Customer Support using the contact form on the help form. We can help.
Using a phone, tablet, or computer, go to https://myphlcareerportal.org/ and click the register [button] at the top right corner of the page. Follow the prompts and complete the information with your username and password. Click the register button when completed. An email will be sent to your email address. Click the "Click here to verify account" link in the email. This completes the registration process.

Go to the PHL Career Portal and on the login page at the very bottom click the reset it here link. Enter your username which is your email and click the [send password] link. Please check your email inbox for the reset password email. If you don’t see it check the spam or junk mail folder just in case. Click the link in the email to change your password and login with you new password.

Your certificate will show up in the [My Courses] Tab. Click the [Launch] button next to the certificate name.
The certificate will now appear in a new window. Click the three dots step 1 the select print step 2.

Once you are registered on My PHL Career Portal, you will be able to access our Open Library, which contains self- paced training courses, videos, resources, links to external websites, and more! It’s the best place to further develop your professional skills.
You can access the Open Library from the HOME page by looking for the section labeled “Start Training” Click to access the Open Library and see all the available courses offered. Choose from the selection of professional development courses offered to begin training.
On the HOME page, navigate to the section labeled “Register for Live Virtual Workshops.” In the left-hand column, you will see a live calendar with certain calendar dates indicated in blue. These are the dates that current workshops are available.
In the right-hand column, you will see the virtual live workshops listed along with the times and dates they are available. Locate the workshop you would like to attend, and click the “Sessions” button to register. You will then be directed to the workshop you have chosen. Be sure to click to “Register” to sign up for the workshop.
On the day of your workshop, you must locate your workshop once again and click “Launch” to begin viewing. The launch button will become active 10 prior to the workshop start time.
Access codes are used to gain access to your specific course content.
Step 1: When you are logged into the system, scroll down to the middle of the page, and look for the area labeled “Enter Your Access Code.” Enter your access code in the text box, then click [Submit]. You only need to enter this code correctly into the box ONCE for it to work.
Step 2: Look for the section labeled “Start Your Training” (listed right above the access code section). Click to go to ”My Courses.” You will now notice that your content is readily available. (Please note: You MUST complete both Step 1 and Step 2 in their exact order to access your content)
